The Mongan Method
“The Art of Birthing”
“My dream is that every woman everywhere, will know the joy of a truly safe, comfortable, and satisfying birthing for herself and her baby.”
~ Marie Mongan
Benefits of HypnoBirthing®
Reduces Need for Drugs
HypnoBirthing® reduces and often eliminates the need for the use of analgesia. This reduces the effects that those drugs will have on baby, resulting in a more alert and happy baby.
Eliminates Fear Before, During and After Birthing
Through education, you will learn about the Fear-Tension-Pain Syndrome (Dr. Grantly Dick Read) which allows birthing mothers, fathers and birth companions to understand why there is no place for Fear when it comes to birthing. This enables one to eliminate any preexisting fears surrounding pregnancy, labour and birth.
Shortens labour
Many HypnoBirthing® mothers report having a shorter opening and thinning phase of labour. This reduces fatigue and mum is left feeling fresh, awake and energised as she bring her baby into the world. HypnoBirthing® babies are usually more content and alert and bonding is enhanced.
Reduces Risk of Tearing
HypnoBirthing® encourages the birthing mother to breath her baby down using the natural pulsations of her birthing body resulting in a more calm and gentle entry into the world for baby. This eliminates the need for prolonged forced pushing which reduces oxygen flow to the baby and exhausts the birthing mother.
Improves Bonding
Through learning and understanding the importance of bonding, birthing couples will experience a pre-natal, perinatal and post-natal bonding experience which brings mum, birth companion and baby together in a way that cannot be replicated. This bonding will follow through to their lives together.
Advocates Instinctive Birth
HypnoBirthing®, more often than not, allows birthing couples to experience calm, gentle, fear free births, reducing the need for medical intervention. Birthing mothers are able to experience the natural flow of labour and birthing, and are deeply in tune with their babies and their birthing bodies. This results in a more relaxed and content mother and therefor a much happier, calm and settled baby, better adjusted to life outside the womb.
